🖍️ Crayola Gel FX Washable Markers - 8 Colors (2 Packs) Review

I received 2 boxes of these markers to add and replace the gel markers that came with my grandchildren's Crayola Ultimate Light Boards as half of them had dried out and weren't working properly. They are all beautiful and work great on their light boards and add to the fun of the pictures they draw!

I was delighted to get these for my nieces who love to do crafts. I tried them myself and was a bit disappointed because they looked almost dry straight out of the box. I used to have Crayola gel markers and felt like they changed the formula? Other markings were lighter. Well the girls like them so I guess that's a win.

The price for 2 boxes of markers is amazing! So good I bought extra black paper and 2 more boxes of these markers for my nephew in India and my cousin's son also in India. They made a living off American goods and liked the way the marks were displayed on black paper. Thanks to the great price for two boxes of markers, I was able to make two little boys happy.

Good, but dries quickly. I was impressed that they can also be used to write on laminated worksheets without smudging like a regular marker would. I usually have to use slide projector buttons (VisAVis) for this, but the number of colors is limited. These lighter colors make the list more interesting, and when I'm ready to erase them, I just wipe them off with a damp cloth and start over.

The product claims to write on dark surfaces. Does not apply to most colors. 6 out of 8 colors did NOT appear on my black painted surface. I was very disappointed. At a company like Crayola, which I usually love and trust, this isn't the type of product they should have, at least not sell it that way. Maybe this works a bit on colored paper, but I needed it for a BLACK surface and it just didn't work.

Very disappointed with these markers. I received 2 packs which were good but out of the 16 markers only 6 were markers that were actually usable. While it was nice that those six markers were different colors, it still meant that 10 markers were either unusable or of lower color quality.
