at first glance they looked great. When I went to use we had 8 broken crayons in one pack of 64 and 6 in another. The reason I bought new crayons was ours were broken and worn out, very disappointed, the packaging could have been better to protect them.

Gift to our 17 year old twins who were disadvantaged in their childhood and just found out there is a box of colored pencils with a sharpener on top of the box. (They could not be left out too little, for neither did any of the children who attended them.)

Colored pencils arrived, two boxes of 64 colors as promised and none broken. But what the hell? Where's the color? I sat down with Melissa and Doug's coloring book and started coloring. Were Crayola crayons always this lame? Almost no color is applied to the paper. Even using the darkest colors is disappointing! It's like trying to paint with a stick of candle wax!

I had no problems with the condition of the package - the crayons arrived in good condition. And one of the boxes was as advertised. I have just opened the second box and two crayons are missing. Also, one of the crayons was not packaged. This disappointed me - I'd like to think that Crayola has better quality control than a box that doesn't have all the colors declared.

Fine filling for stockings I bought for my granddaughter along with the Melissa and Doug coloring book. A colored pencil sharpener in a box - a nice touch! I'm giving her Revane's cardboard house with finger paint to decorate it a bit. Children have such wonderful imaginations. I wouldn't be surprised if the crayons added a little bit to the decorating process as well.
