Difficult to read. Inches start at each foot

The tape measure feels good although I only got 9 feet before it started breaking. What I hate most about this tape measure is that the inches start every 12 inches. So if you measure 87 inches, you should measure 7 feet 3 inches.

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • I won't say anything

The lock broke after 3-4 months

Yup, another cash register in record time in the trash! This time the locking mechanism broke in less than 4 months. I used to have an old Lufkin tape measure that lasted me about 7-8 years with daily use, but every tape measure I've tried since has lasted shorter and shorter periods of time. I usually get at least a year or two off it, but this is ridiculous.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black

This is incorrect. for linear measurements

I received a 35ft tape and it doesn't fit 1/16th inch. They name the product two big brand names and call it "Command Control Series" and it's better to be specific. I used this tape for the first time this morning and the foreman checked the first part of the layout and told me it was wrong. I saw a new cassette and wanted to see it. Put it on the locksmith's ruler, of course it was off.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

The quality is good but there is no mark in inches!

The photos in this listing from Revain misrepresent the item I received. Physically this is a very good tape measure for the price but the one I received has no overall inches marking ( E.g. instead of 54 inches it only says "4F 6"). If I'm shipping a container, I need to know the total in inches. Inches, not feet + inches, and I don't have time to do math (and I'd be prone to error if I did). I'm definitely sending this back.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

It's quite a mystery. internal measurements, add 3.63 inches to your measurements. Not exactly something that's easy to do mentally when adding fractions measured on a tape. Maybe because it's in inches and mm and metric? No, 3.63 inches is 92.20 mm. Why on earth would someone design a tape measure intentionally make the body of the tape measure exactly that size?

Pros
  • Easy-to-read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors have emerged

The ruler keeps wanting to retract. There is a lock (which must be set RIGID) but pulling the blade out even a little will unlock the lock and retract the ruler. The ruler has a wider and deeper curved blade to allow for more "protruding clearance". This more severe kink causes the blade to fold sideways and twist into a spiral that can only be recovered by retracting/re-extending. This is especially true when measuring along the ground. When using this ruler, I feel like getting the blade outโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Measuring and marking tools
Cons
  • Something different
