Description of 🎨 Review: Cretacolor Fine Art Pastel Pencil Set - Set of 72, Multi - A Comprehensive and Vibrant Collection

Colors can be smudged and blended. Excellent for detail work, as they can be sharpened to a point. Soft, oil-free strokes. Pastel chalk pencils.

Easy to use drawing tools

I like this set. This is my first real experiment with pastel colors. I have several sticks but they are much easier to control and learn the technique. This is great for me as the chopsticks themselves were a bit difficult to figure out. But you need pastel paper or the paint just doesn't "stick" that well.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Frequency

Good and reasonable price.

Good pastels and reasonable price. One pencil was damaged (I don't know how it happened because the tin they came in was not damaged). The only thing I can think of is that it was damaged during or before insertion. I have a hard time sharpening it because it breaks every time I try. Everything else has been well received and I use them regularly for my pastel work.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Long wait

You can't go wrong with these pastel pencils.

Just give them your money, you can't go wrong with these pastel pencils. They work very well with Pitt, Caran d'Ache, Carbothello, Derwent pastels and all types of hard and soft pastels. This set comes with sandpaper for sharpening and holds the point very well, just like Faber Pitt's pastel pencils. Open-stock can be a little pricey but overall worth it compared to other pastel pencil prices.

Excellent pencils.

I really like this set of pastel pencils. The colors are vibrant, easy to apply and blend well. One thing I immediately changed is the storage for them. I was afraid that if I dropped the can the knob would fly off and the pencils would hit the ground hard and break in the sleeve. Not good. So I bought him a leather zipped pencil case, it's much nicer. The pencil case on the outside has a soft lining that cushions the fall and the clasp keeps the pens inside. I think it's worth keeping pencils,

These are very good pens. I like variety

These are very good pencils. I like variety, although there is a lot of grey. I'd rather have more reds and blues than all the grays. Pencils are a bit difficult to sharpen. They can sometimes be sharpened with a very good sharp manual pencil sharpener, but they often break when you use a sharpener. The best option for sharpening is with an Xacto knife and then sandpaper to get the point you want if you want a really fine point. The kit comes with sandpaper and they tell you they don't…

High quality pastel pencils

I have different brands of pastel pencils and I looked at the manual that this brand suggests. They are softer than I expected and not chalky at all. The quality is comparable to other artistic quality pastels. They blend easily and can be sharpened with a utility knife. The colors include multiple shades of grey, both warm and cool, as well as a nice range of shades not found in my other sets which was a big plus for me, you also get 2 different white crayons. They combine well with other…
