Everything works, but the lid is chipped. I don't see anything in the packaging to indicate it was damaged in transit. Not sure if it's worth going back but it's a disappointment

See comment above. This is why people use K-Cups - it's easier to make a cup, but you sacrifice flavor. This French Press makes a great cup of coffee, but it takes a long time. PS - this is very attractive and quite solid.

Plunger is not as tight as it should be. Some coffee grounds are always ejected into the spout area, meaning there will be some coffee grounds no matter what. I'm not overly picky though, so I appreciate the aesthetic appeal of having an à la Crueset coffee press on my counter.
