I was trying to clean the brush after it became caked with dust from fingerprints and all the bristles fell out. I had to throw it away. That fingerprint dust gets EVERYWHERE and WILL GET dirty if you don't clean it up right away! Other than that, the rest of the kit was pretty cool and my son had fun pretending to be a forensic scientist.

This item works. I accidentally ordered this item instead of the magnetic powder and wand item because I didn't look closely at the miniature and thought they were the same. It has the standard fingerprint powder and a brush. Not worth the cost at all considering it's the same cost for a superior powder and stick instead of a brush. The rest of the kit costs about $10.00, index cards, a small roll of tape, a plastic USB drive, and a cheap case. Wouldn't recommend it.

So I haven't had a chance to use this hence 4 stars. This kit was purchased in response to the discovery of an empty 4 seater can in the back of the car and my daughter's strong protest. Innocence. Time went by and I feel like her behavior has improved so I didn't feel the need to reveal it and tell her lies. The evidence remains sealed in a plastic bag and if you are reading this please note that I would be happy to use this product should your reliability falter again. I will of course update
