Great entry-level turntable

The Crosley C6 just works. It does not come out of the box to activate it on the player, it requires some setup and assembly. With the industry-standard AT pickup, it delivers pure sound. The preamp seemed useless to me but my setup can work at line level so don't worry. Overall I'm glad if this is your first player, take your time and follow the instructions. It can be a bit tricky to set up for beginners, but it delivers great sound for the money.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Very expensive

So far so good for record players and accessories

So far so good. Had to return the last C6 as the cue lever was broken. It was easy to set up, although the counterweight feels a bit finicky. I hope this one lasts a long time and doesn't break the cue arm as it feels weak. No problem, as long as there is no anti-skating and no large sound distortions. I've hooked up a few speakers since installation and it sounds good even through AOMAIS Sport II. If it works I will update the mat and cartridge. The base is nice and feels solid, it's clearly…

Please, please, please.

Spend another two hundred dollars and buy a Fluance RT83. Yes that's more money, yes you have to spend another $75 for a preamp. But, my god, you won't regret a single dollar spent. In the C6, the pickup is as basic as it gets, the preamp is useless, the materials are cheap. To switch from 33 to 45 you have to move the plate and switch manually. In addition, the sound is lousy, the weight is so cheap and even with the turntable fully aligned, it is not really balanced. In addition, the player…

  • Great for me
Cons
  • Hard to say

I was looking for a turntable to replace an older, more expensive one that was failing while I was trying to figure out what to do next for mine vinyl stereo do. System. I wasn't looking for Bluetooth or converting vinyl, wanted a built in preamp just in case, didn't want to spend a lot of money and didn't want a complex setup, wanted a counterbalanced tonearm to protect the vintage vinyl. I compared reviews, looked for comments on things I really cared about, and settled on this Crosley over…

Good choice for the price

My other Crosley case stopped working one day out of the blue - it was never right anyway. After much research I decided to do it, but made a few concessions. When I first started looking I really wanted something with a solid wood base, but the veneer on this one looks great and the unit still feels solid and weighs a lot. Conceptually, I don't like removing the disc to tighten the belt to change the speed, but I've had it for a week now and haven't played an album that requires a speed…

Incredible value, great player. Attention newcomers!

This is an absolutely fantastic entry into the world of vinyl reproduction, the quality of the reproduction is well above its price! For reference this is used in a second home sound system using Klipsch The Sixes speakers. My reference system consists of a VPI Scout TT, Dynaudio Contour 1.3 SE speakers, a Bryston pre/phono stage and a 3B amp. Yes, the main system is much better, but it also costs at least 20x more. The combination of the C6 and Klipsch The Sixes is amazing, especially for the…

Excellent "My first record player "

Teenage daughter asked for a record player. What? Wow, ok, absolutely! Of course it will be more expensive than streaming, but your recordings are tangible. Visiting a music store and flipping through countless albums is hateful, understandably necessary. I wouldn't buy the style suitcase she said her friends at Urban Out bought. So after a few days of research and a nominal budget I settled on a more expensive model from a cheaper brand. This is a pretty solid base. The stylus was decent if…
