Read all the reviews before you buy and search Google for these Crosley players. After purchasing it and using it for a few months, we noticed gaps. Skipping is due to the internal speakers bouncing off the stylus and in turn destroying your vinyl records by cutting grooves in them. I've lost more dollars on albums than this turntable is worth - very disappointing!

The first one I got didn't spin. Returning it via UPS was easy but was disappointing as it was a gift. The second worked fine. The sound wasn't very good, but it's better to connect it to a Bose speaker. After a few months of irregular use, the noise has completely disappeared. Maximum volume is very low and sounds distorted (alone OR through an external speaker). All in all a disappointment. Now its sole purpose is to look good and collect dust.

Save yourself the pain in your ears and headache. This is by far the worst turntable on the market today. Fisher Price plastic turntable has the best sound quality and durability. We were first sent a completely non-functional device that wouldn't turn on (9 year old in tears) to get a replacement that sounds like nails poking a hole in the road at a board meeting (dub 9 year old screams , turn it off ). There is no quality control for this absurdly cheap junk they sell for a lot of money. Save
