It was a plain cross stitch

I ordered this at the start of the Safer at Home order. I work in a children's library and thought it would be fun to share online with families. I also finished it around "May 4th" so I made it a part of my Star Wars library program. I recommend this kit. It was easy for me to follow and although I used to do a lot of cross stitching, it was easy enough for someone with little experience!

Pros
  • weight
Cons
  • too dull

Fun mini craft project

Bought as a gift and needs some time and work to make it special. I enjoyed sewing and learned new tricks. The instructions are useful, although it is a little confusing that there are two different instructions that are slightly different from each other. I would recommend combining them together. I can also say that English is not the native language of the person who wrote the guide, but in general it was understandable, and in the end I was able to understand everything. A fun mini project,

Suitable difficulty level for beginners

This was my first cross stitch kit (thanks Pandemic). I liked the design and the functionality. The final product is good and leaves room for improvement. Be sure to separate the embroidery floss into separate strands. I found it was much easier for my 40 year old eyes to double a thread (rather than trying to thread two threads). Try to start the pattern in the middle so it's right in the middle of the fabric (which I'll do next time). All in all it took me about a week but I was prettyโ€ฆ

DELICIOUS; although it took longer than I thought

At first I thought it was a bit overpriced but the design is really well done and detailed - hopefully that means whoever designed it is well compensated. The perfect compromise between buying a gift for someone and building something from scratch. My partner is an avid reader who loves porgs so I couldn't get over it even though I usually hate sewing. Trust me, I've looked around and this is one of the cutest porg items out there, and it's really fun to make your own once you get the hang ofโ€ฆ

Pros
  • cross stitch
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Great if I have the right instructions

This was a fun first cross stitch project. It wasn't too hard, but hard enough that it felt like an achievement (for a beginner). The only catch was that the instructions for attaching the back of the bookmark and sewing the seam were very confusing. I ended up having to contact the company who explained to me that it was a typo and the instructions were from the wrong project. They sent me new instructions and a video demo which made a lot more sense. However, even there it did not show how to
