Jeep/Chrysler 4x4 Shift Bushing

The bushing worked as intended although it was a little stiff making it a bit difficult to install. It still seems to work today.

Pros
  • Excellent Overall Performance
Cons
  • No Paint Required

Good quality but one problem

Good quality but one problem. Since it's hard plastic, I had to heat it up and use some synthetic lube to get it into the lever. A few months have passed since the installation without any problems.

Pros
  • Good item
Cons
  • Minor problems

Not the best replacement for stock sockets.

Not a good replacement for the original socket. It's hard (hard) and it was impossible for me to get it in place. I've tried greasing, clamping with a clamp, pushing by hand, pounding with a hammer. Bad luck.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Frequency

Fits 2000 Cherokee XJ with NP242

The part is made of hard plastic and is very difficult to assemble. All other brands have the same design, so it's not Crown's fault. I ended up connecting it to the transfer case first and pressing it into the fitting with channel locks. Now I can switch again.

Pros
  • Dream come true
Cons
  • Too long to wait

I tried to find a socket for 2003.

I was trying to find a 2003 Jeep Liberty transfer case bushing. I tried this part but it doesn't fit. This is not the seller's problem, even Jeep claims that this is one of the possible parts. The actual part may be incorrectly coded by the manufacturer.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Volume

It must be great if she's already been in the jeep!

The traction of the transfer case was weakened when the engine was replaced due to my inexperience. It was decided that the bushing needed to be replaced. Bought it because it's stretchy. Turns out the damn thing already had one installed, and it was perfectly fine having been taken apart. Has kept its shape. Can not complain.

Pros
  • There's something in there
Cons
  • Functionality

Easy installation with a hair dryer!

Wow, I broke my linkage bushing when shifting into 4 Lo on a steep descent. No pleasure. So I found this replacement and ordered it. Found it too difficult to install and wondering if there is a YouTube video? Why, yes they do. After watching the video and realizing that I already had the bushing installed on the shaft (making installation difficult), I read the comments section and noticed that the bushing softened in boiling water. Well, stupid, I thought. I mean, how do I put a pot of…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
