Crown Mark Saddle Chair Espresso Furniture and Kitchen Furniture Review

So I have these 2008 chairs and they were really good stools. The description of these sounded the same as the dimensions of the seats, so I ordered them. They're not even close. The seat is rock solid and has a dark cardboard bottom support with a single slat of wood in the middle.

They are really pretty and look great in our playroom. Very strong, comfortable and wide seat for a variety of sitting positions. They are also quick and easy to assemble. My only complaint is that they smell TERRIBLE - like the chemical smell of death. We had to leave them outside for a few days so we could breathe reasonably comfortably next to them.

At first they seemed very sturdy and comfortable. However, over time, after about 6 months, the seat breaks and you sit on two crossbars. Upon examining the break, I found that the only thing separating the minimal spacer from the wooden frame is a brittle piece of cardboard that is crushed and eventually explodes. I would never buy this again.
