I bought these bulbs to replace some halogen bulbs in my kitchen table pendant light. I chose these 35w replacement bulbs because they were the right size for my fixture rather than the 50w halogen bulbs they were designed for. The bulbs are wrapped in a transparent rubber material that feels odd but is actually very protective and ensures your fingers don't get caught on the bulb like halogens do. Pros: The bulbs give off a lot less heat so they seem to last a lot longer than my halogen bulbs.

Please note that your experience with this type of lamp is by definition dependent on the transformer used. Yours must not flicker and the contacts do not match, if so then you can bet 4 or even 5. This is not the seller's rating. There is a separate rating for this. A lamp is a lightbulb and I appreciate that. Rating a supplier instead of a product can be misleading.
