Works well but feels a little flimsy

The pen is pretty cheap/weak but the machine itself does its job well. The rubber pad is easier to remove than my previous record, but I've found that I actually find it easier to keep the parts clean, so I don't mind now. Seals well when brewing coffee. The aluminum body is also thinner than the old stove we had (a different brand). I don't know why these plates are generally more brittle than before.

You get what you pay for

The price difference (about half) between this Chinese fake and the Italian original Bialetti Moka was attractive, but the random processing made it clear how the production was saved. Even with the replacement of the Bialetti seal (the Chinese seal was useless) the two halves never came together, so steam escaped from the pot during brewing, leaving a significant amount of water in the lower boiler and a negligible amount of coffee in the upper. . There was no "Made in China" label on the coffee maker. "Made in China" was written on a very small piece of paper that was placed in the box. It looks…

Coffee snob and unfair reviews

I have 12 cups. This is my first experience with a stove top espresso machine. I was looking for a brewing method that would capture the full flavor of any coffee, not just an espresso roast. I needed a large capacity (12 cups) so I could brew enough to fill a cup, not just a 2 ounce espresso cup. While experimenting and testing, I settled on this 'wrong' Bialetti because it came in a 12 cup model at a price too good to pass up. If this turned out to be complete nonsense, I would have had minor
