Again I was torn between good and bad

Overall it's cool. BUT. Remote controls send files in a sequentially increasing number format. If you erase the SD card on the remote, this number will start creating duplicate/reused filenames. When I suggested using a timestamp for the filename, I got a silly response that I'm no longer working on this project. it's the firmware change that's needed, that's all. Also, they must come up with an AC power option for this home camera. and what uses the USB port if no computer can be connected to…

Does an excellent job.

I installed 4 of these on two 100 acre lots in Georgia. One on each of these serves as a home for the Cuddelink cameras on this site. One section is very hilly so 2 more are used as repeaters to increase signal strength in that section. I've found placing them on hills to keep the signal chain continuous is very effective. Each is connected to a 6 D element booster (combined with 4 built in D elements = 10 D cells) to ensure trouble free operation during the 4 1/2 months of hunting season. One…

Check one, check all

I have replaced all my security cameras with Cuddelink cameras and moved everything to this home device. The battery life of the home unit seems to be good. I've been working with the same batteries (Revain D brand) for a few months. I really wish the USB port would work with the Trophy Room as originally advertised by Cuddeback, but according to tech support it won't be enabled until new firmware is released in 2019. ***** UPDATE 1 February 2019 ***** No ETA yet on when the advertised USB…

This is NOT a camera, but a system for collecting all the images!

So far I have to say that I've liked the CuddeLink systems. I bought two dedicated wireless home devices so I didn't have to set up one of my cameras as an image selector device, aka DOM. If you have a place that is not very important for pedestrians, just install a camera in your HOME. But if you want to stay away from all cameras, then this is what you need. They run on D batteries, so they last a little longer than cameras. I won't go into what I think of the cameras now as this is an…

  • Not cheap, but decent

  • Nothing

I've been wearing these cameras in the woods for a few weeks now and they work as promised. This is a technically advanced system and the learning curve for using it will take time. So far, battery life isn't an issue at 50 during the day and 30 at night. I am using a camera with a dedicated Cuddeback home receiver and another Cuddeback dual flash with antenna kit. They all work seamlessly together. I have cameras scattered over a few hundred acres of hilly forest, communication between cameras

Works much better than expected!

I bought a set of 4 cameras, one of which I used as a 'home' device to receive images from remote devices. It worked very well and the range was better than expected in hilly terrain and vegetation and I wanted to use all four cameras remotely and needed a standalone home device. I have this block in my house and the other 4 are scattered all over my property. The farthest camera from my house is about a mile from the home unit. I used batteries in a home unit and it died. I was expecting to…

A great addition to your network

Our hunting club has 2 such devices. One of them is a block of flats, which is located just outside the window above. Our country is very hilly, with over 300 feet of elevation gain. The presence of the camera at the top provides greater range. In our experience, altitude change is more of a limiting factor than distance to your signal strength. Our second device is on the top of the highest hill, its function is to act as a repeater for all the cameras on the top of the hill which would…
