The lid does not stay on the pan, swings back and forth.

Same problem as another recent review (for a 5.5 liter matt gray oval pot) - the lid is deformed and does not fit the pot well. Rocks back and forth, doesn't sit down. (Poor quality control). Item is defective and must be returned. Unfortunately, because it is very difficult.

00 for Christmas gifts for each of my children as cast iron is best and enamelled cast iron is even better

Enamel is chipping throughout purchase - I have bought about 1000.00 worth of Christmas gifts for each of my children like cast iron better and enameled cast iron is even better. I observed this flake while using it. Not sure about Cuisinarts plating method but they didn't even use for a month. do not buy

All three pots cook great. Unfortunately, Cuisinart's enamel just couldn't handle the heat.

This review is written after 2 years of ownership. I use an induction cooktop with pot. I have a Lodge (6 year old) and Le Cruset (15 year old) enamel pot. All three pots cook great. Unfortunately, Cuisinart's enamel just failed in a controlled low temperature environment. I contacted customer service because they have a lifetime warranty. They said they won't replace it because it's an abuse. I was left with no choice but to continue abusing my house and Le Cruset paraphernalia as they seem…
