great for regular ice cream but

great for regular ice cream but not for specialty ice cream such as , and the motor is not powerful enough and mix fast enough so add extra guar gum or other stabilizer for branded ice cream

Pros
  • inspires confidence
Cons
  • dubious purchase for elderly people

Delicious! - Ice cream machines

Works great! Ice cream has a soft consistency. We put it in Tupperware and let it harden in the freezer before eating. My boyfriend says the included vanilla ice cream recipe is the best vanilla ice cream he's ever eaten! It's great to know exactly what's in your ice cream. Not great if you add toppings so be careful with that. It's pretty loud, but it works hard!

  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Not happy with everything

Easy to use and clean. Make fast ice cream!

I purchased a lightly used ice cream maker from this seller and was very surprised at the price of this machine! It uses a freezing drum, so it's a lot easier and quicker than using an old-fashioned ice cream maker that takes tons of ice and salt. You simply store the drum in the freezer and can serve a soft portion on command in 30 minutes! It's easy to get creative with this machine and make all kinds of frozen desserts (peanut butter and hot cocoa mix are my favorite ice cream toppings!).

Great Product - Ice Cream Makers

We love our new Cuisinart ice cream maker. It was fun experimenting with flavors and using fresh, low-sugar ingredients for a healthier version. It produces a soft serve in about 25 minutes and we bought 1 liter freezer containers. I quickly wash my freezer and put it back in the freezer to be ready when we get the urge to make more. The only complaint I have is that it's quite noisy, but I suppose most ice machines are like that. I just use it during the day if the noise doesn't bother me, or…

Give your inner gourmet the perfect gift

This product is as close to a professional product for home use as you can get. It's well made, easy to use, no settings other than on and off, and the end product is better than almost any other ice cream. The sorbets are rich and frosty, and the frozen shakes are as good as a frozen shake maker can get. If you're looking for small batches of delicious frozen treats and drinks, you can't beat this one. I keep my bowl in the freezer until ready to use. Otherwise, the cost of a near quality…

Good buy for small appliances

Arrived promptly. Properly packed. No problem. I bought this because I have a sweet tooth and if you leave me without adult supervision even at 55 I will rip up a box of Blue Bells. I wanted to eliminate sugar and dairy from my diet while still satisfying my "pleasure needs." This taught me a little bit about the difference between ice cream, sorbet and ice cream. This is a small, handy device that you can use to create something much more useful for yourself. YOU have quality control! Or you…

comfy and simple but too soft

I've never tried making ice cream but I'm much more comfortable making my own. It even includes a recipe booklet with different recipes for ice cream, sorbet, frozen yogurt, and ice cream. I find they are often too sweet and contain half the sugar, especially since fruit and other additives add their own amount of sugar. Rock salt as required by more traditional machines. However, it does not freeze ice. I've found that to get a hard ice cream that goes really well with waffles, I have to let…

Fast and cold is important when making ice cream.

Used three times and the ice cream turned out great. If you check other reviews they mention the same thing about keeping everything as cold as possible. I will not repeat all this now. I would add that you will need to freeze the tray, toppings like nuts, fruit, chips etc, as well as the ice cream containers you plan to store the ice in. Quickly set up the machine and freeze the ice base as soon as possible and quickly transfer to the ice buckets to mature in the freezer. EXPOSURE TO ROOM…
