Cuisinart DLC 018BGTX DLC 018BGTX 1 Pusher Assembly Review

The part I received was dlc-018bgtx1 which is not interchangeable with dlc-018bgtx. The center piston is too big to fit in the original cap and the safety hooks are too thick to fit. Did you accept my return without any problems?

Perfect fit. Before ordering, check the part number on the original part to ensure you are receiving the correct part. I was disappointed that this new part wasn't the same quality/plastic thickness as the old one. It feels a bit weaker, especially on tabs. And that's exactly what broke with the original. I would be careful with that. I have a feeling the tabs may break or tear.

When a part broke on my Cuisinart processor, I was very upset. I have had this machine for many years and use it constantly. I didn't like the idea of buying a new expensive processor. When I saw that I could order a replacement part, I was thrilled. It's perfect and my processor is working again. I highly recommend this company and their products. Very happy it fits my Cuisinart! I was concerned about the mixed reviews but still took a chance and it fit! I bought a Deluxe 11 EV-11PC7 from Costco about 12 years ago and it fits perfectly! I got it last night, tried it and it worked, but I can't speak about durability as I just got it. I will say it looks exactly like the one I'm replacing except for the part number (the item I received has -1 in it, mine at home doesn't). Super happy to be able to "shred" again!

The fragility of this part adds to the lifetime value of this food processor. My mother-in-law's (much older) food processor never had to be replaced every five years. Why is it so cheaply made? I figured it must be a quality brand - it's definitely worth it - and it's annoying that the same part breaks so often. I know it's been 5 years because Revain reminded me I bought the same part in 2015. And here I am again in 2020. Also, no middle pusher is included, so stick with that.

Our 20 year old Cusinart DLC-8PLUS pusher/socket assembly broke one of the tabs. An email from Cusinart said they no longer make parts for our machine. We purchased this replacement after breaking the 'tab' but be aware this was after more than a decade of use. The replacement came and turned out to be of good quality and finish. But after less than 18 months of use, the tongue broke off again. Over the years I have replaced some plastic parts in our 35 year old DLC-10 Cuisinart. The problem only appeared with the last purchase. Older structures are pink in color and newer parts are grayish in color. Some gray parts now have the "T1" suffix. If you buy a part number ending in T1, you will need to replace most, and possibly all (I'm not sure), of other parts that don't end in T1.
