This is the second Cuisiant I have, same model. The first was a gift from the children. After 9/10 years the plastic base fell into disrepair. It was my fault for putting it in the dishwasher. I bought this processor after researching online and reading reviews on cooking websites to replace our old processor. Compared to our old one I think it deserves the good reviews that motivated me to buy it. It has a good base weight so it doesn't slip. It's easy to remove and put on the cover and remove the blade for cleaning. The size is too small to do anything in it BECAUSE you can only fill it halfway or it will start to distribute in the minute press any button. Not suitable for what I wanted (grinding seeds and raw oatmeal) or making homemade sauces (I'm vegan so I don't buy anything cooked, I usually make everything at home). Don't buy this. I wanted something small that could be used for marinades, salad dressings, and crushed nuts. I've used it 3 times, all were for marinades/liquids, nothing hard or very sticky. It makes a very loud, obnoxious, high-pitched buzz, and mine also smokes a lot once it turns on.
