Blood clot bandages work

I wish the bandages had a wider area with .75 blood clot material on the bandage. The pack says 15 small and 15 medium; Small (0.35" ร— 15" or about 1 1/2" long) and medium. (0.75" ร— 2.83" or about 2 and 3/4" long). I also wish there were more middle bandages. My wound requires 2 medium bandages, so 15 won't be enough.

They work very well, but...

I take blood thinners, so even a scratch can cause heavy bleeding. This bandage contains cellulose, which is very good at stopping minor bleeding. The only reason I give it 4 stars is that the bandage has to be removed carefully as you can stop the bleeding. Otherwise the pad will stick to the wound and must be wetted under sterile conditions to avoid bleeding.

Pad too small in First Aid

I tried this product because it was the only one that stopped the bleeding. I only found 2 sizes, both of which are too small to help. .2. Problem was the packaging of the smallest size. It was very difficult to open. I doubt I will ever buy again. It may well be that most of the purchased items are thrown away and the search continues. I have constant sores, bleeding problems on my hands, feet and shins.

  • Health & Household
Cons
  • Expensive

A must have for your first aid kit

Like many others I have a decent first aid kit at home. Usually the first thing I do when I pack my first aid kit is get some decent little bandages for the wound. Quality is important and other generic brands often don't stick well, and the Curad brand contains oddly irritating latex that may be an issue for some. Not only do they stick well, but they seem to help slow the bleeding enough to support a wound clot. It was a great addition to my camping first aid kit and I would recommend it toโ€ฆ
