The power switch is a joke. I tapped it a few dozen times to turn it on but nothing. Then I held it for 5 seconds and it turned on and started showing the temperature on the digital display. Nowhere in the book does it say you have to continuously press for 5 seconds to turn it on. So I can only assume that it is defective. I have never used a curling iron with such a large barrel. I was a little worried that it wouldn't give me much curl and that I wouldn't like it. I couldn't be more wrong. My curls were perfect!
