HIGHLY VERSATILE. This multi-use trailer hitch ball mount equips your vehicle with two 2-inch hitch receivers, one for towing a trailer and the other for mounting a cargo carrier or bike rack. DEPENDABLE STRENGTH. This ball hitch is constructed from strong steel and the bottom receiver is rated to tow up to 3,500 pounds GTW and 350 pounds TW (limited to lowest-rated towing component). The extra 2-inch receiver is not for towing a trailer. READY TO TOW. Hitching up your trailer is easy with this 2-inch ball mount. It has a 2-inch x 2-inch shank to fit virtually any industry-standard 2-inch receiver. CORROSION-RESISTANT. For long-lasting use, this ball hitch is protected with a durable powder coat finish, easily resisting damage from rain, dirt, snow, road salt and other corrosive threats. EASY TO INSTALL. To install this class 3 hitch ball mount on your vehicle, simply insert the shank into your vehicle's 2-inch hitch receiver. The rounded shank makes installation easy. Ideal for the bike rack on the Jeep Wrangler to clean the spare tire!

I bought this because I have a Swagman 5 bike rack and couldn't fit the spare tire (31x10.50x15) on my 2003 Jeep Wrangler TJ. I installed Curt Man. a class III hitch just to haul bikes and a luggage rack, nothing more as my jeep is a 4 cylinder and can't tow more than an empty garden trailer lol. Either way, it's great for that and allows the bike rack post to extend about 4 inches. The top is also about 2-3 inches below the tire and the tailgate clears it and still opens with it! This thing works great but measure before you buy.

I really like this style for its length. I actually bought them from a different brand and when they were side by side the curt was about 7 inches shorter. Some other models unnecessarily lengthen the downpipe that runs into your car's bumper, adding a long leverage point and providing little or no benefit. If you look at reviews of other brands, people bend them without exceeding the maximum weight. During my use I weighed pretty close to 250/275 pounds and it held up well. The most important…

Built almost the way I would make it.

I've had a serious debate about which dual receiver extension to buy. Looking at some others and what seemed like a catastrophic mistake, I almost went and bought materials to make my own. But before I did that I chose Curt as it is a real brand name, at least there should be some kind of quality control. Was looking for one of these, found it a little underpowered from the pictures but as I already have a few Curt products and know better I ordered it. Thursday just before midnight. The price was good and the supplier Trends Auto delivered for free, which was good because it didn't match my Prime shipping.
