Review on πŸš™ CURT 45792 Dual Receiver Trailer Hitch Ball Mount, 2-Inch, with 3,500 lbs Capacity by Maurice Cunha

This thing works great but measure before you buy.

I really like this style for its length. I actually bought them from a different brand and when they were side by side the curt was about 7 inches shorter. Some other models unnecessarily lengthen the downpipe that runs into your car's bumper, adding a long leverage point and providing little or no benefit. If you look at reviews of other brands, people bend them without exceeding the maximum weight. During my use I weighed pretty close to 250/275 pounds and it held up well. The most important thing you need to do, as you can see from the photos, is to measure before you buy. My Yakima rack for my bikes was sticking out too far and the last bike would get in the way of the bow of my boat. To clear this up I took a welder and fired in a quarter inch receiver adapter so I could fully insert my post without modifying it and instead just modify these cheaper parts. An added benefit is that I can load the trailer onto the ball while the bike rack is mounted. This depends on what bike rack you have and how long your ball receiver is, but I really like how short and compact this setup is compared to many others.
