This is a fantastic product that will save you from poking holes in belt loops or pockets. I use a Stanley Fat Max tape measure and it fits great, but I've found that it doesn't fit many other brands of tape measure. Be sure to consider this before purchasing. I was very happy with it

I received this item and my wife cut off part of the belt loop from it. She also dyed it and then riveted it to my leather apron. I should have done that a long time ago! This item helps make my apron a lot more functional! Use it on your belt or modify it like I did. In any case, this is a good buy!

I work in a paper mill. I have a 12ft cutting tape so I bought this so I wouldn't ruin my pants. This works for the most part, but on my tape measure, at least part of the clip doesn't provide a secure closure. This causes me to lose it every time I sit down or even touch the control panel. Just my two cents.

I use this clamp with a Dewalt power drill and a Dewalt spring clamp. It makes a great quick holster for my drill press and is very easy to load and unload. It appears to be very heavy leather and rivets that will last a very long time. Not all products have clamps wide enough for a drill clamp, but this one does. Very happy with it.

Excellent tape holder. I've been using it for over three years, many, many moves and placements, over and over again. I sell bathrooms for a living 6 days a week and this thing passed all the tests. I use a 25ft Harbor Freight tape measure (Bauer brand). Absolutely fabulous and gets smoother with time. Shows no signs of weakness. The skin darkens over time. Excellent purchase. Hooray!

Every time you sit down or bump into something it pops out which defeats the purpose of the tape holder. The bottom of the metal on the retainer shouldn't have a large protrusion, this protrusion prevents the band clamp from holding the band, I understand it may not fully engage or it may be too strong for thin leather, I would recommend changing the design that way Noting that half the metal is sticking out, or pointing out that this item only works for very large tape measures less than 30…

Used once. Leather will soften when wet from normal workplace sweating, which provides no support for removing cut tape. The metal retaining clip has a thin stamped shape with a thin section at the top and is bent into an "L" shape at the bottom. This construction results in the tape clip not springing from below first, but only after the forced snapping into place. causes the clamp to hang, requiring additional pulling and twisting to loosen. I bought this to attach a tape measure to my carpenter's apron. I cut off the top (with slots for the belt) and then attached it with rivets to the front of the apron, with another piece of leather on the inside of the apron for extra support but mainly to keep the rivets from damaging the material tear the apron.
