I really enjoyed making this book corner. This is for my daughter for Christmas who is an author. Manual skills should be available. I have a feeling that someone who has never done crafts before will find this a bit disappointing. But this can be done. My biggest complaint is that the instructions aren't clear. Nice set. I love books and when I saw this set I wanted to buy it. This is a good quality product. It's well done with some beautiful artwork. The instructions are pretty clear (could be better) and include pictures. It's easy to separate the details. This requires patience and a place where you can work (where cats or children will not disturb your work). I suggest getting a glue with a thin metal tip. Wow what fun it was to build/collect. I followed the instructions and for the most part everything went smoothly. I had a few disappointing moments, but those were entirely my fault and not the fault of the kit or the instructions. I started out using super glue but quickly decided that wood glue was the best choice for me. For the paper areas I used white craft glue.
