Blades bent when I tried to cut bare 12AWG stranded wire. I ended up chewing through the wire after several attempts, but its ends were mangled.

I am an industrial mechanic. These are the best devices for the money. Yes I broke a few pairs to cut the spring wire but they are very good. I had no problem cutting copper and a box lasted about a year or two. I lose them sometimes too.

We use these flush cuts to trim the ends of our cable ties and they cost over $7.00 a pair from Granger. On a whim I bought a box of these to try and they work great. Ours are in a salt water environment so we don't expect them to last too long but they just do like the more expensive ones so yeah good deal!

They came with flat on the box and a pair of scissors. But I don't think hair clippers are made by Platt. I think they are fake, they don't stay sharp like others I've bought in the past. I don't even use them for wire, but for very small pieces of fabric to make baskets. The seller really needs to admit that it is a fake/counterfeit.

They are too big to fit comfortably in your hand. They didn't stay sharp for long either, a little less than a month. I didn't even realize they weren't that sharp until I used a new pair that I accidentally grabbed. This is good because they don't have an extra little notch that gets in the way at the top like other cutters. In fact, you can cut a decent amount of wire in one cut. Bought for use in electronics workstations, toolboxes and a few other places I work. Seems like making a decent pair of flush cutters should be easy, right? I received a box of 10 to distribute to my workstations. Unfortunately, I waited too long to open the package and can no longer return the window. Most of the cutting box is functionally fine. I was hesitant to buy this item because of the bad reviews. I'm glad I did! Package has arrived and looks and feels authentic. Attached is a photo next to my 5 year old couple. The spelling is different, but maybe they changed the labeling of their product? I randomly pulled one of these out and started checking its quality by using about 75 zip ties and small cables. In general, what I have was lying around. All cuts were clean and crisp, the only difference between my old pair and my new pair
