Leaves a sticky residue

These mats are well priced, but they leave a sticky residue everywhere! They literally ruined my vinyl. The residue is like a lump(?) so if you use a scraper to stick the transfer tape to the vinyl it will leave bumps and stains on the vinyl. I would not recommend this rug to anyone. I would definitely look for another brand and spend a little more money on it.

  • Quilting
Cons
  • Obsolete

Wouldn't buy again

If I could give 0 stars I would, I got my mats on Friday, they smelled like rubber, very strong and not that much. I used them yesterday and noticed that the glue comes off no matter what you put on it. I have several projects. Today my mat barely sticks to it causing my cards and vinyl to rise. Very frustrating as I have never had any complaints about my products but I was very disappointed as my regular cricut mat was no longer sticky and I had to buy a new one.

Pros
  • Tailoring
Cons
  • not reliable

Glue is terrible

So far I've only used the standard grip mat because it messed up my project. The glue stuck to the back of my project in tiny beads, rendering it unusable. When I run my hand over the surface that was in contact with the mat, it comes off like a sticky eraser. I can probably still use a permanent vinyl mat that you peel the backing off of, but nothing else. If you look at the mat in the light you will notice that the adhesive is thick and sticky in some places and not in others.

Pros
  • Crafts and Sewing
Cons
  • Damaged
