Charged boat battery with 8 amp charger in 100+ degree weather. When I pulled it out, the threaded end fell apart as the plastic threads softened and snapped off from the heat. The sources are probably still somewhere in the grass.

I bought it half a year ago, the fuse was blown inside. The glass just broke. I've been to Auto Zone, O'Reilly's and Napa - nobody has the right backup. Fuse circumference with smaller diameter. Not satisfied at all, I would go for another product.

The quality definitely exceeded my expectations. The fork is very strong, the spring works well, the fork fits perfectly. The connectors on the other end are well connected, everything is heat shrinkable and looks nice. Definitely recommend if you need a heavy duty 12V DC plug.

I use them to light up the car now trust me I know there are MANY other ways to do it but when I take it to the dealer they give me because of the Guaranteed no problems When I plug it into the cigarette lighter it seems quite tight it always looks like I'm going to break something but it hasn't happened yet so that's good.

Heavy duty plug. I've been trying to find a good cigarette lighter plugin for a while and this one beat them all. It has a certain weight. Very tight fit which I like because most other plugs start coming out of the cigarette lighter socket from being so loose. That thing just looks tough. I will be buying more soon to have spares. You may need to buy enough for life as good quality is getting harder and harder to buy.

This product is well designed with rubber tabs under the side clips to prevent it from slipping out of the cigarette lighter socket. I had to solder it to a wire from an old adapter that worked fine. When connected, the indicator light did not light up. After disassembly I noticed that one of the leads of the LED was not soldered to the terminal like it should have been. Soldering a second lead to an existing solder pad can be a difficult task. But it's a good design.

I soldered this connector to the cable of a 12v air compressor. It handles the amperage very well, which I can't say about the one I bought from a popular tool store that sells cheap Chinese goods. However, the fork is not that good. The metal tabs on the sides of the plug are neither flexible nor spring-loaded, making it almost impossible to get in and out of my car's 12-volt outlet. When I tried to remove this plug, it pulled the socket out of my car's dashboard. I've used several other plugs

I used this set of two plugs to upgrade my car DC/AC converter and 300w LiPo charger. I was really impressed with the solid connection, further reinforced by a layer of rubber under the ground prongs that presses the plug's metal lugs firmly against the receiving DC outlet. Little did I know I would also have two 15 amp spare fuses per connector (6 total: 2 installed, 4 spares) neatly tied to the cord in a strong socket. I'll keep these spares locally as it's a handy backup that won't get lost.

UPDATE: It's melted. I charged a battery from another via a Drok volt/amp/watt meter and at less than 15 amps the smell started and the spring relaxed. Like the others. Sigh. I think I'm done with cigarette lighter plugs by moving to EC5 which handles a lot more power. A MUCH heavier spring inside than most, and the spring is in a metal cage that keeps it from melting through the plastic and shorting out like I've done on others.
