You need distilled water for the calibration.

I understand that distilled water is very easy to find anywhere. nope I thought it would. All kinds of purified, reverse osmosis, spring, mineral, etc. Without distillation. I don't shop at Wal Mart so I have to try there. So maybe it's a good gauge? I can't use it yet. Well, just because I don't need distilled water doesn't mean I need it. I don't use distilled water for anything. I just wanted to test if the water I'm using is spring water. That's how long I was able to distil my own water. I
