Might be safe -- or not

This pretty cable is completely unknown. Nowhere - neither on the order page, nor on the packaging, nor on the cable itself - is its current load capacity specified. Also, the size of the cord is not specified (cord size #18 can carry 7 amps, #16 10 amps, #14 15 amps, #12 20 amps). "Heavy Duty" means nothing at all about the size of the cable or how much current it can safely handle. Because of this, it may NOT be UL certified. And therefore the use of this cable should be limited to very small

Fire hazard - extension cord

I ordered two of these, one worked fine and the other didn't. When the plug moved, he turned off the device. I had a bad feeling about the one that worked, so I pulled out the working one and took both apart. Both were bought at the same time, both with the same code and different markings, both built differently. One design was soldered, and the other - "pressed". The soldered designer plug had broken solder (see photo). The "pressed" wire, after being pressed, had strands of copper wire…

Very handy for extension cords

I first found these at Home Depot. The only place I've ever seen her. I bought several. Then came the time when I needed more and found what I was looking for at the power distributor. Then I need another one and I found it here (limited to three). Installation. They come in very handy when you need an extra outlet and want to run a long cord from that point, or when you need an offset from an outlet that's too close to a ledge, floor, wall corner, etc. All three points of purchase above had…

Repairs limited exits and cramped exits

Summary: Just works and is well made. Additionally, it's a very strong yet small item to include in a travel kit, and unlike trying to pack a traditional power strip, it doesn't take up space or weight. I got this to help with problems I encounter when travelling. Including: 1. Not Enough Outlets - It has two built-in outlets, so even an outlet that doesn't fit gets extra space. Ideal for limited outlet areas at airports, airplanes and some hotel rooms.2. Outlets where wall chargers are falling

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers

  • Crumpled

How to use a common socket at the airport

We've all experienced this. With the last streak (or no streak) on your phone or PC battery, all it takes is a little more time to finish and send an important email or document before your flight. However, all sockets near the gate were used. Here's the solution! Politely show this cable to someone who is already connected to the network and ask if they can plug their device into an upstairs outlet. You can then plug the device into the socket below. Voila! Problem solved. I would also…

Hollow, not filled.

I should have looked at the review photos showing the build. I just assumed the ends were molded plastic and securely insulated. The socket end is solid and the locking pin end is in two parts. I'm using them at the moment but feel really uncomfortable about the design. Even the cheapest materials are strong so the connection cannot loosen or short out. I've had extension cords that I've run over in the garage, slammed doors and dropped tools on. They should be charged as punishment, but I…

I find it dangerous

This braid looks like a good product from the start. Basically it does what it was designed to do. This allows devices with large plugs to plug into outlets or splitters without blocking other outlets. I give 5 stars if not for a major flaw. I thought it was plastic or rubber on the ends. Not true! The lines in the photo that look like injection molding lines are actually the connection of two separate plastic parts. I don't see a problem with the output end because the connection is parallel…
