Simpads are perfect for me.

My sympads work perfectly. I like them better than felt to hold and protect my cymbals. I use the SKB 70mm cymbal case to protect my cymbals during transport.

A useful tool for concerts with lower volume and fine tuning of the cymbal tone.

I bought two MD70 presenters to replace the bottom felt on my Ride & Crash cymbal stands for lower volume performances (jazz/adult contemporary music). It reduced volume/sustain and some brightness (by about 10-15%) so I could play comfortably in a small to medium sized hall with hard walls/commercial glass windows and a cement floor. I play the Paiste Traditional series (14HH, 16 Crash and 20 Ride). They sound complex and dark, but still have a treble brightness like all Paiste cymbals…
