Very weak. Unlike chain links and some other items, the part that opens with screws ONLY attaches to the threaded end (the wider end of the carabiner). On the other hand, it is not connected at all. The quality is ok but they are smaller than described and not all the same. Here is the actual size of the ones I received. : 15.8 mm (widest point closed, without clasp). Oddly enough, 4 out of 5 were 2.9mm Ti rod/wire and one was a significantly thicker 3.1mm. For my purpose, a significantly (30%) smaller width than specified makes it unacceptable. Bought these for keychains and they are well made. However, the gap that opens when the collar is unscrewed is too small for modern keys with a plastic head. Ordinary solid metal keys are suitable. I know from years of experience that trying to loosen the loop to give it more slack won't work as it would be almost impossible to bend it exactly enough for the collar to rethread the thread. I needed a new shackle to replace the cheap chain clasp on our cute metal measuring spoon set. I wanted an oval o-ring but it looked better than any others I saw so I took a chance.
