Chain used dirty salvaged

Not new. Not even close. The chain I received has traveled at least five thousand heavy miles. It was covered in dirt, rust, old grease and feathers (see picture). If that's not a joke, then it's an insult.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Good quality for chains

Good strong and easy to clean chain. It doesn't stretch very quickly, so you'll have to put it on much less often. Much better than the OEM O-ring chain it replaced. I have installed this chain on KLX250 and KLX300 with bigger rear sprocket.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Perfect fit for my 2014 CB 500X

I ordered Link 112 for my 2014 Honda CB500X. Perfect fit for him. Very easy to install. The kit includes a clamp on the main handlebar with lube, o-rings and basic installation instructions. I've never changed a chain before, but it was very easy.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • No

Not suitable for size 520 O-ring chain from the same manufacturer?

This is the main o-ring link but I ordered it to be used with the did 520 o-ring chain and the width is almost 2mm smaller. I have made many chains in my time so not sure if I just got the wrong part or something else but this link is too small to fit on the same brand chain.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Negative impression

I love VX2/VX3 chains

This is the second one I have bought. Had one on my WRR for years with no sand or mud issues after the stocker gave it up for 6 months. This one was just driving my CRF450L after its chain failed in the first 600 miles! What the heck is a Honda? Well, I figured I'd wear one of these someday anyway. For extra sparkle, go for gold.

  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Secret

Comes with a clip style master link, or it could just be junk.

I think the Masterlink was the failure point in this chain but I can't say for sure because it's on the Autobahn somewhere along with some plastic parts which I now have must replace. I'm using a 2006 zx636 so this chain should have held up well but apparently it didn't. It hasn't even done 1000 miles and I don't think I've ridden a single bike in that time. If you decide to do this, be sure to get a stud style master link as you will need it.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Lots of things

5 star chain. 3 Star Master Link Chain. Therefore 4 stars.

Here are the specs I used: The chain should be compressed to 17mm. The chain without rivets was 5.1 mm. The size of the rivets should be between 5.6mm and 5.7mm. I want the main chain link to be riveted instead of clipped. I understand that there are a lot of old school people out there who say they've never had a problem with clips and I honestly don't doubt it considering I've never had a clip chain. However, I think it's better to be safe than sorry. I used this on a 2016 Kawasaki Ninja 650…

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Some little things

Reliable brand, good quality.

DID brand is definitely a trusted brand among chain manufacturers. I have never had a bad experience with their products. Obviously this necklace is well made and beautifully designed. And this model is reasonable value for money. Certainly not the cheapest or trendiest option, but I'm sure it will give you thousands of miles of worry-free use for a reasonable price. Incidentally, the scope of delivery only includes a fastening clip for the main handlebar. Good luck buying separately in case…

Pros
  • Durable Coating
Cons
  • Damaged
