Not too worn out Best All Purpose Cleaner

I have no idea if they remove heavy metals from your hands and surfaces at all, but I'd like to believe they do. I don't particularly like the smell or the fact that the towels are very, very wet. Too wet for my liking but maybe they need to be that way to work? But I would buy again.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Modern

How do you know it works?

Great idea, I hope it works. I have used many of these to remove lead from hands, tools etc after shooting. But one review I read said it changes color when erasing lead. I rubbed one of them on a lead ball and it didn't change color, so I guess they don't change color in the presence of lead. It works out? I hope it works and I will continue to use them. But I also wash my hands after the words.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

If you clean firearms you need these

These are a MUST have in your workshop. When I have to clean multiple firearms at the same time, I don't want to stop washing my hands of solvents and heavy metals that could damage other firearm parts or myself! I use about 2-3 of these products for each cleanse, often the same ones several times, until they dry out or stop working. I plan to add more personal care products to my gear, especially after a day outdoors.

Pros
  • Health & Household
Cons
  • There are new competitors

How to use it properly

Ok I would use brass, lead, cadmium in construction and as a biologist I have serious concerns about heavy metal accumulation. The correct use of this product in my routine is to wash my hands very thoroughly first and then use towels. I don't have any real data, but the product is based on a surfactant (soap) with EDTA, a chelating agent (binding agent) that aggressively binds to any heavy metal. The premise is very robust, but I haven't seen any trials. I will use that of course and what'sโ€ฆ

  • All purpose cleaner

Get the Lead Out!: Household Cleaning

So you can't just wash lead off your hands with soap. who knew Apparently this company doesn't know how to test them for effectiveness, but they smell nice. and seems to do a good job of removing the dirt from your hands after visiting the shooting range and cleaning session. Remember that most of the lead exposure you get from firearms isn't from bullets (the lead poisoning you get from bullets is generally dangerous due to the speed at which bullets travel) but from primers, in which almostโ€ฆ
