Drivers need to be installed from dlink website

Ordered before reading reviews. then he saw that he was having trouble installing on Vista. I have Windows 7 and it didn't install automatically, but if you go to the dlink website and download the latest drivers for Vista, it works fine. Don't let Windows 7 install automatically. Stop the automatic install and it worked for me. I'm not sure if this works for you, but it worked for me.

Yes and No for Network Adapters

Neither the D-Link website nor Revain mention that this is not Vista compatible (or at least not when I bought it); I found out about this when I called D-Link support. As I bought this to create a network with a new computer, this poses a small problem. However, the product works fine on an XP computer, although sometimes it disappears from the desktop and the program does not open. He later mysteriously reappears. It could of course be a computer or a Netgear router, not an adapter. Stable…

ahh yes amazon you did it again!

Let me start by LOVE AMAZON! Whatever it is, if you're a son of a bitch like me I can almost bet it's cheaper here than anywhere else I know. I give this adapter top marks, it does exactly what it's supposed to do with minimal installation effort. The only problem I had was that I'm using Windows 7 and the driver CD that came with it is not compatible. But with the utmost ease I was able to find the right driver and get it up and running in no time. THANKS AGAIN AMAZON YOU FRACK ROCK!

Pros
  • Power Adapters
Cons
  • Requires an outlet
