This is a great pen holder for iPad with Magic Keyboard. Place the iPad in the typing position and slide the elastic band of this holder behind the iPad where it separates from the back of the lid to tilt it backwards for typing and you can close the iPad over the elastic band. Otherwise, almost every other position covers either part of the iPad's screen or part of the keyboard.

I wanted an iPad pencil holder that would really hold and cover everything. I didn't trust others where you just stick a pencil in and it's open at the top. Looks like the pencil might fall out at any moment. This is the best I've found and you can't beat the price. There's even room for a small UCB-C (headphone) adapter that easily wraps around the iPad 12.9 version.

Mainly used for iPad Pro 12.9 (5th Generation) for Magic Keyboard Case. The only reason I bought it is because my Magic Keyboard case doesn't have a slot to keep the stylus safe so it doesn't fall out. It is tight and there is no play. The pencil is stored safely and when I use the pencil I can leave it on the iPad and when I travel I put it in the case without fear of losing it. This product is as advertised. It easily holds my Apple Pencil with silicone case. The zipper feels solid and the case itself is well made. So far, so good.

The case comes with 2 protective tips. It fits in the holder but requires more care to remove the pencil with the tip attached. The holder is zippered in both cases and probably protects the pen well enough even without a tip protector. I'm still waiting for the 12.9 inch…

The zipper and the elastic were the most important things for me. I had a previous pen holder that did not have an apple pencil clasp which resulted in the pen getting lost. One day I decided to buy a stand that the pencil would not fall out of. This item is perfect. The Apple Pencil fits perfectly and securely. My only downside is that I wish there was a little more room so I could put a cap on the tip of the pencil to protect it.

Perfect for my Apple Pencil with silicone case (although my silicone case has indentations on the bottom and the zipper tends to bump against it when opening). Also fits my Logitech pencil! It closes all the way (I just took a picture with the lid ajar so you can see what's inside)

I bought this pencil holder in July 2019. My Apple Pencil (version 1) with a case fitted into the stand; It was a bit tight but the holder still closed easily. A few months ago I noticed that the rubber band was loose and the mount started to slip a little. Today, after about 7 months of use, the zipper on the holder broke.
