It keeps you warm. It's soft and luxurious on the inside. Put it on your ears and they'll stay warm, but if your ears are like mine, you'll have a hard time understanding what others are saying. But on a fairly cold day, that's a small price to pay. The relatively low price made me expect something simpler. But I was excited! All in all I would recommend it to anyone going out in the cold!
