good price best in light base

They are pretty good for LED, they fit well, have an insulator and the price is very good. However I thought the insulator would be a snug fit to hold the LED in place once it was inserted into the block, the fit is good but not tight enough to hold the LED so it just slides back out. A little hot glue on the back after installing the LED fixes the problem, but I didn't expect this problem. If you buy them, and I recommend them, be prepared to do something about the LED slip.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black

Definitely matches the description

Not much to say about this, it's a fairly simply machined part. It meets the specs and works well with the various LEDs I've used. You may or may not need to glue the rubber insert, it's a little dimmer on some LEDs, so I just flip the conical insert and stick the barrel in. The only downside is that the barrels are packed together so they can get scratched. Keep in mind that it's nothing serious, but if you're doing something very detailed that's going to draw a lot of attention, and that'sโ€ฆ

  • Several competitors

Strong filaments Works great and holds a 5mm LED

Perfect for any standard 5mm LED. As for people complaining about how it attaches to the bezel. If you take hot glue and fill the frame around the LED, it becomes conductive and waterproof, permanently securing each LED in that frame, solving any loosening issues for all projects. These bezels have the LED sit more flush with the body and they don't protrude as much and I prefer these to be my new favorite bezels. The snap ring and nut are surprisingly strong for such a small thread. It's alsoโ€ฆ
