I don't like the big piece of shiny metal that says "DAKOTA ".

I also bought some light clips from Smith & Wesson and Rothco: some broke out of the packaging (especially the light) or died within a year or two. I don't like the big piece of shiny metal that says 'DAKOTA' but it works well out of the box and although the light is red it's very bright. I hope it lasts more than a year! 10/14/2015: Update: A year later the clock appears to be dead although the light is still bright. I am extremely disappointed. I can't even take the back to change the battery

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Pretty good

Amazing watch on watch

Actually this is my second watch with a mini clip and carabiner. The first was about five years old. The face started to get badly scratched from bumping into things like working on a car etc but it still worked fine until I forgot to take it off and went swimming with it one day. Not sure what killed it, but it stopped working after about three days. I ordered this replacement watch and will not go swimming with it. In the winter I work outside a lot and find that my watch doesn't work well…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember

Very upset with this gift we bought for our grandson.

I like the Dakota watch, I bought it for my husband, this one was for our grandson but was very upset when we received it, the case and box were crushed at the corner what obviously a strong blow was received from what -then. We hope that the watch is not damaged and is no longer running. I took pictures of what it looked like when we took it out of the box. It will look like we bought it used as we gave it away for our grandkids birthday party. The metal case is damaged.

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • Minor problems

Since 2011, one customer has saved $130 on replacement straps.

In August 2011 my children bought me my first Dakota Miniclip watch with flashlight. It looks exactly like this. It still works great but has lost some of the processing. You become my lagging watch. Before I got my first Dakota Minuclip, I bought replacement straps every six months. I estimate the Dakota Miniclip has saved about $130 since 2011 considering not having to replace smelly watch bands.

Pros
  • There's something to it

Gorgeous little watch

This Dakota MiniClip watch is the perfect solution when wearing a watch is impractical or undesirable. I found the size perfect but sufficient for my aging eyes of over fifty years. They're surprisingly heavy for their size, but don't get in the way. I've used this watch twice a week for the last 8 weeks and it seems to be holding up pretty well. The clamp remains strong without weakening the spring. The bezel still looks great, just a few minor scratches from normal use. I'm a little picky…

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Nothing here

Not a happy camper anymore

I live in Florida and spend a lot of time gardening. I was tired of drying or replacing sweat-stained watch straps that were irritating my skin. Since I don't wear plastic or metal watch straps, I looked for an alternative. I didn't know this style of watch existed until I looked it up on the Revain website. I took a gamble that this watch would meet my needs and they did just that. I attached it to one of my belt loops and it works great. No more hassle with a watch strap or skin irritation on

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure
