I would not fill in the middle part on both sides. It's fairly populated with three tiers of flash drives. It will probably take another layer, but I wouldn't stress the outer zipper that much. Small pockets and zippered compartments are strong and secure. Discs don't fly out. I only use it for flash drives. No cables, hard drives, headphones or batteries.

This is a large bag that neatly stores my flash drives, SD and micro SD cards, USB backups and adapters. I can also just slide in a small WD Passport drive. Personally, I would never travel with all my data and technology, but only with a few selected things in a small bag. It feels sturdy and durable and so far has survived the iced tea accident without damaging the contents. Highly recommended!

Withstands a lot! A phone charger, USB charging cable, USB sticks, SD memory cards, USB sticks, a small music player, IEMS, a small flashlight, a small Swiss Army knife and an Anker all-in-one charger.
