Get some now! Save a lot of money

At work we had five leaking water valves in our hot water central heating system. The plumber charged over $800 to fix it. I bought this and after cleaning the valves, replaced the seals in all five in under an hour. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Pros
  • Self-forming
Cons
  • All right

Teflon/PTFE, *not* graphite, works great!

I don't know why others say it's graphite. It's definitely Teflon/PTFE. They appear to be more or less the same as the Danco 80794 3/32" x 36" valve gasket, only in quantities of 10. is actually 3/32" and 80794 is 5/64" but so far they work the same.)

Pros
  • Designed for general repair work
Cons

Faucet Stem Seal

Bathroom valve stems had to be repackaged as they were manufactured in 1949 and couldn't find a replacement. I did 5 full turns around the stem and it was great. Handle it carefully as it breaks very easily. It's graphite and lubricates the valve well. Would give it 5 stars but I found it without the so called rope making it brittle. As said, just handle it gently and it will seal and hold the valve smoothly.

Pros
  • 3-3/2" x 24" Long
Cons
  • Update Available

It dissolves with heat.

This pack continues to dissolve in my hot water stick after a few months. When I first used this product I packed both hot and cold sticks. A few months later the hot water faucet leaked. Disassembled but no packaging! I blamed myself and thought I was just distracted and didn't do my job properly. I grabbed it. After a few months the hot water faucet is flowing again. Disassembled and there was no packaging doing it. It works fine on the cold side, so I think it's a star. EDIT: The cold side…

Pros
  • 24" length
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Faucet Washers couldn't use the best in faucet washers

There was a slight hiss when steam and water escaped from a 15 year old valve so I bought these. I used 3 wraps when I really needed about 1.5, they flowed out like soft clay when I tightened the nut. I was shocked that it was so gentle and really didn't expect it to work. Turn on my thermostat and increase the temperature to the max. It's perfectly quiet and I tightened the nut snugly but not too tightly. It is fully sealed and requires no gasket. If you look closely at my photo, you can see…

Pros
  • to fix faucets and other small valves
Cons
  • small things
