Works well. It's either that or a wall panel made of brushes. This has the advantage of splitting the plate into two parts, allowing it to be installed around the wires without separating them or passing them through the plate. This makes them very easy to assemble. Perhaps the brush plate would have looked more "sealed" around the wires, but it was on the back of the TV, so it worked for my purposes.
