Davis 2% Chlorhexidine Ointment, 4 oz: Effective Antiseptic for Faster Healing Review

My bulldog had an ulcer at the site of the bite, the vet recommended chlorhexadine for cleaning. This product was/is perfect!

ok so it's probably effective (I use the brand's shampoo for my hairy skin and I LOVE it!) BUT. It's kind of sticky, sticky and BLUE. It's not the ointment/cream texture I was envisioning and when it dries it really shows. I will give up a product that leaves my dog walking around with sticky blue polka dots.

This ointment is not what I thought. It is thick like paste and blue in color. This causes stains on the fabric/fur that can only be removed by a bath. Instead, I use very warm (not hot) water and a small amount of this substance. I stir vigorously for a few minutes (be patient, this takes time).
