A very handy tool to determine the condition of your speakers.

A very handy tool to find out how your speakers ACTUALLY work. Basically plug and play if you have the accompanying software (REW, HolmImpulse or other similar products). Just make sure you download and download the calibration curve (unique to each microphone) from the website - the UMM-6 comes with instructions on how to do this.

Pros
  • Microphones and accessories
Cons
  • Without autotune

Do not buy! to Multi-Purpose

I hate this because the seller (S-Record) didn't make the warranty claim very clear here. When this mic broke within a year I filed for a warranty claim but to no avail. However, Dayton Audio provided a longer warranty period than the Recording S. I would suggest purchasing this mic from Dayton Audio related sources such as (part ex.). I am not affiliated with Dayton Audio or its partners. I'm just a real user studying audio engineering.

Pros
  • Multi-Purpose
Cons
  • Minor issues

Easy to use, plug and play but with some problems for me.

The microphone itself looks just as good as any other microphone. However, I keep getting inconsistent overall DB level readings when using REW. Sometimes when setting up the mic and running the test level it shows the level in the 60dB range and after unplugging and plugging back in and restarting the mic settings in W7 the reading only shows up to the 80dB range. The charts still look the same, so relative accuracy doesn't seem to be an issue, and it does the job right in that regard. I don't
