Disappointed with the quality

For the price this hammer looks like it was just assembled. My husband builds farms for a living and said it wouldn't last a day at his job.

  • Magnetic Nail Set for plumb and line, plating or any other hard to reach nail

The stick of death for mechanical and hand tools

I got one of these a few years ago. when it was still called "Death Stick". The handle broke easily. I wouldn't use this at work, but if it still had "Death Stick" written on it I'd keep it in my toolbox just for fun.

Pros
  • The combination of a cast head and a quality hazelnut handle makes a well balanced hammer
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Great hammer. The milled face lasts a long time.

I have owned this model of hammer for over 10 years. and now the handle is shaking. I added a key and screw but now it's time for a new one. The milling edge at this point is slightly smoothed. This is a great hammer compared to other frames. I've had about 15 different brands of frames and still use this one. My other hammers work just as well, but the milled surface on others always flattens out and I scrape the milled surface and use them as finishing hammers. I used to take handmade frames…

Pros
  • S-7 tool steel head
Cons
  • Available in black only
