I was hoping this would be a good alternative to a smooth resin over the collage and fill. Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it completely smooth, especially around the edges (and some were up to 8x8). If I elevate it higher, brace the canvas mids, and be willing to use (and spend) twice as much, it might work. I love this stuff. Super high gloss. Completely self-leveling and very easy to apply. I pour it over the top of my canvas and as it drips down I turn and sift my canvas to manipulate the product on the surface until covered, then place it in a basket large enough to hold an 18x24 -pick up the canvas and hold it up. at a 45 degree angle for a few minutes.
