We use these to hang pictures on the picture railing in our historic home (plaster walls and nails don't mix) - Purchased in gold - nice and understated. Works great and looks great! (Although we should secure the ends as they have a natural tendency to snap which is to be expected)

Intense, deep golden color. I'd say it's closer to the color of 14k gold than the bright yellow of 24k gold. The strands have a nice shine and a smooth, silky feel. The strands are twisted tightly and unwind a little when cut. I suggest either securing the cord where you are going to cut before you cut, or leaving about 8" more on each end so it unwinds as you cut. before further unbundling.
