Strong treasure chests. Good thing there was a coin slot. Used to complete a kindergarten project for my kids! They loved painting and decorating these boxes. I then added some plastic coins and gems - the perfect gift!

For the price and size these boxes are a good choice. Since they are small, so is the equipment, so durability may not be desirable for small children who may drop or hit toys.

These treasure chests are just perfect! I have also bought small luggage locks that set your own combination. They will be used as a Christmas game for my family. There will be money in it. They will challenge each other to figure out the combination to unlock their treasure.

Good value for money. Some of the chests had some wood fluff that needed to be removed, but it was perfect for the birthday craft I had planned. The 8 year old girls who came to my daughters ocean theme party loved it. I put a mermaid bracelet in each one, and they decorated the wooden chest with gem markers, glued shells, and glued stickers. You were a great success!

I use them for a pirate style quest and for the price it's hard to find that many small lockable boxes. They are definitely, definitely not strong. They don't tolerate real insults. They are made of very light and soft wood. But if you handle them carefully, they will serve you well. It is convenient for elementary school age children to color or decorate them. And they have a slot at the top so they can serve as a coin bank.

I loved this product - I used it as a girls craft at my 6 year old daughter's birthday party and it also doubled as a party favor along with a few things hidden inside! It was a great size for this purpose and I loved that it could be used as a money box, as well as the fact that it had a higher quality clasp that you could actually padlock if you wanted to. There were very small imperfections on the wood (small dents here and there but not very noticeable).
