My son needed new shoes for a special occasion. He wears size 4 XW tennis shoes. According to reviews I ordered 3.5 wide and they were still very large on him. I couldn't reduce the width to 3 or maybe even 2.5. I didn't have enough time to return/change the order so luckily he was able to make it work by doubling on thick socks for the event. These are beautiful shoes. It's hard to speak of quality after just one indoor use, but I'll update in the future if I notice an issue.

My son is very picky about the shoes on his feet. OCD is an understatement of his fussiness. He wears size 10-10.5 shoes (depending on the shoe) and I ordered 10 for him and they fit perfectly. Not too tight, not too big. They're lightly padded around the ankle and sides so they don't fit like the tight, stiff dress shoes that are typical of men's shoes (in this price range).
