Bought for a wedding and worn new ones, they haven't broken. They were very comfortable straight away, very minor "new shoe" issues. The shoe bed is only lightly padded [as listed] and that would be my only minor negative. Because I use gel products from Dr. Scholl usually buy in a shoe box, maybe that's just my personal taste. Ordered 8.5M for my son and it was basic and 1/2 too big. I'm 9.5 and the shoes are too big for me. Poorly constructed and overall just a very cheap shoe. We have severe winter weather and thought that mainly synthetic shoes for school would suit him. They look good in the box, but that's the only plus. So we put them back in the box and sent them back. CANVEN's $45 men's leather penny loafers are a much better choice.
