The child approved my review.

My 10 year old son loves them. He liked how soft they got as soon as he put them on. We haven't tested the waterproofness yet, but to be honest, it's not a priority for us. Comfortable tourists are what we need.

Pros
  • Exceptionally made
Cons
  • Sizing may not be correct and the boots may be too big or too small for some children.

A pair of crappy boots

I bought these for my son who helped me with my gardening, he only used them a few days a week, I bought them mid July and by mid August they were already torn. Not worth the price even if they weren't that expensive. So I don't know why the reviews are good because these boots suck.

Pros
  • My son loved her. Very comfortable and keeps feet warm and dry.
Cons
  • The boots must not be light, which can lead to children's feet tiring quickly on long hikes.

Great purchase for hiking, camping and climbing for a child!

The shoes look great and hold up great too! 😉 My son said they are a bit big and he has room in the front! Amazing price, amazing ability to withstand the environment, climb and camp ⛺️ in the high desert 🌵! He got a lot of compliments on her over the weekend!

Pros
  • A bit big but good quality
Cons
  • Boots can take a while to break in, and they can cause blisters and discomfort initially.

walk a little - my new rating

I bought these boots for a trip to Yosemite. The good thing about these boots is that they survived the entire 10 mile hike. However, they work a little. My big toes didn't have enough room so it hurt when I went down. Too bad they make these half sizes bigger.

Pros
  • Good sturdy boot for my son who is not good with shoes.
Cons
  • The design may be unattractive or appealing to some children.

Good boots: my review

They are perfect for my son. They look casual enough to wear to school all day, yet are warm and waterproof enough to wear in the snow. That's great because he's in middle school and no high schooler wants to be seen changing shoes in the morning. They seem strong and are still holding on.

Pros
  • Liked the boot. However, its size was too small.
Cons
  • The back end started to tear inside and a piece of plastic was sticking out and cutting into my son's leg.

good quality good for me

I liked the boots and they held up well on my hike. The rubber on the outsole is a little cheap as it was worn after camping. However, I liked the boot and I recommend it!

Pros
  • Nice heavy boots for boys.
Cons
  • Boots may not be durable and have a shorter lifespan than other hiking shoes.

My grandson loved these boots!

My grandson loved these boots! He said they keep his feet warm and don't heat them up too much. He got upset when I made him take them off but it gets too hot for boots in May lol. I will no doubt be ordering another pair this year because his legs have grown!

Pros
  • Great boots are worth it! Very durable!
Cons
  • The sole of one of the boots came off completely in less than two months. Very disappointing

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The soles start to peel off at the front after a hike.

Comfortable, looks good, fits as expected but falls apart right after the hike. We've been wearing them for a month and a half and my son has worn them a lot, but they should be worn daily for a month and last a 4-6 mile hike!

Pros
  • Great walking shoes for my son, he loves them and says they are so comfortable!
Cons
  • The color combination of dark brown and taupe can get dirty easily and is more difficult to clean.

Perfect fit and warm

My son (12 year old boy) tends to be rough in his boots and so far they are holding up! He wears them every day and says they are comfortable, loves the ankle support and the design of the front of the boot. They appear to be more durable than more expensive boots.

Pros
  • Grandchildren on a winter hike
Cons
  • The boots may not provide adequate ankle support, making them unsuitable for hiking over rough terrain.

BIG 10 TIMES!

Too big, I wear boys 5.5 and they are closer to men!?😖 2 thick men's insoles and 2 or 3 pairs of socks, they almost fit. But badly scratched on top and sides. The top layer fell off, but I don't wear it all winter. 👎 The only good thing I can say is the waterproof YES and the warm YES. ⛈️🌩️🌧️If you buy everything, take one size smaller!😬

Pros
  • Waterproof upper
Cons
  • Something else

Updating previous review

I have previously reviewed these boots I bought for my kids but for some reason my updates are not showing so this review for the second pair as an update to the previous serves one . For dates etc you need to check my previous review. The boots were originally bought as winter boots for boys. They held up very well and kept feet warm and dry. However, they suffered a single split around March. A little gorilla glue and we're back in business. I still wear these boots and will as long as I can…

Pros
  • Shaft about ankle length from arch
Cons
  • In doubt

Performance above cost, above expectations!

Living in the cold Midwest, warm, dry shoes are something I never thought about. When I was young, I worked as a metallurgist in California. My feet were cold, wet, too bad I held out until I was released and then dried my boots and legs until tomorrow. It's different here in winter! Warm, dry shoes that breathe well and don't make your feet sweat become even more important when temperatures drop below freezing and even freezing! So this year, without a lot of money, Frau was responsible for…

Pros
  • Man Made
Cons
  • Damaged
